Environmental Awareness programme by ISEB at Schools and Villages
At Bharitya Vidyalaya Lucknow on 18th October 2012
On the invitation Bharitya Vidyalaya Lucknow, an Environmental Awareness and Educational Programme was organized by International Society of Environmental Botanists (ISEB) on 18th October 2012, on the College Campus Led by Ms. Kanti Srivastava, Convener Awareness Programme committee of ISEB, a team of experts and volunteers including Dr. K.J. Ahmad, Dr. Kamla Kulshrestha, Dr. Nupur Srivastava, Ms. Aparna Chakraborty and Mr. Vijay Kumar Yadav conducted the one hour long programme before some 150 girls and faculty members. They explained the importance of trees for the environment and it was the duty of every citizen to protect the trees. After lectures were delivered by the experts, an interactive session was conducted in which students participated very enthusiastically. To spread awareness about the environment and role of trees the students tied rakhi on the trees and took the pledge to protect the trees from being felled.

A team of ISEB officials led by Ms. Kanti Srivastava, Convener Awareness Programme Committee and comprising, Ms. Aparna Chakraborty and Mr. Vijay Kumar Yadav carried out an awareness and educational Programme in Narhapur Primary School about 22 km from Lucknow on 9th August 2011. During their interaction with the school children and villagers, the volunteers explained various environment related issues as also the importance of local medicinal plants and the ecological hazards of Parthenium weed growing abundantly in the area.

Organized an Environmental Awareness Programme for rural folks in Pyarepur village, district Barabanki on January 27, 2009. The daylong programme was conducted by Ms. Kanti Srivastava, Convener, ISEB Awareness Programme Committee and her team of student volunteers.
At Ram Bharose Maiku Lal Inter College, Lucknow on 16 Oct 2007
ISEB organized an Environmental Awareness Programme in Ram Bharose Maiku Lal Inter College located at Telibagh in a rural setting, 20 km away from Lucknow on 16 October, 2007. The theme of programme was to sensitize the children towards environmental protection besides sustainable plant wealth utilization. In this programme, Ms. Kanti Srivastava, Convener Environmental Awareness Programme ISEB and Ms. Babita Mishra gave lectures on different aspects of environment.
